Nariko's Baby Shower

Princess of the day =D

As usual, our little alarm clock woke us up in the morning.
I think she's feeling excited too, haha! Waking up & refuses to go back to sleep.
So baby played with her for awhile while waiting for mommy to come back.

Looking very curiously, dontknow what her daddy's mumbling about.

*Yawn* Got bored of figuring it..

Surrender! Don't wanna play already.

Prepared & headed off to Sweetest Moments to collect the cakes.
Beside sweetest moments, there's a very "ulu" looking coffee shop.
Went there to have our lunch first before collecting the cakes.
The coffeeshop only sold Fishball noodles & Prawn noodles. I was like huh?!!!
But we kind of shutup after having the prawn noodles.
It was very very tasty for baby. He kept telling me how nice it is.
It was nice lah, but I think I ate less than 10bowls of prawn noodles since birth. How to comment?

Went to collect our cakes after the noodles. Checked & we were like WOW ^^
Very very beautiful! Adorable, sweet & princessy looking. Haha!
Home afterthat & showed mommy they all the cakes. They wow-ed even louder lor!

This is the round cake with her name! Hahaha!

After leaving it on the table(very sorry but the fridge was full), we decided to put it out first.
Since it was already 3pm plus & the buffet will be arriving at around 4.30.
And since we're waiting for the red eggs to dry up so we decided to put it up ^^

Very very cute right? I find them so girlish! So so sweet, haha!
There're 40 cupcakes & 1 round cake on top of the tier.
Price is reasonable enough for all of them. Not overpriced like some web that I browsed previously.
Some of the prices were scary expensive & the design was like so-so.
So baby & I decided sweetest moments since it was a quite last minute order.

Photo-taking time with our little doll of the day.
Dressed her up in her brown polka dot dress & a pink cardigan.
She looked very very adorable in that dress! Almost everyone commented she looked cute!
But sadly, she doesn't like the dress. It was kinda uncomfy for her.
She prefered soft clothes like cotton. So I guess she won't be wearing that dress anymore.

I think she looked very very adorable in this picture!
It's totally like a doll coming to life suddenly & trying to struggle out. Hahaha!
But sadly, she moved too violently that I couldn't capture properly. Face blurred..

The buffet arrived soon after & placed all of the food in the kitchen.
We ordered from "Chu Wei San Tong" as the menu was abit more flexible.
You get to choose what you want, how many pax & how many dishes.

I've got no pictures for the buffet though. Didn't have time to capture them.
Was busy with the guests & my cranky girl as she's sleepy yet can't get to sleep.
But I think it was kinda nice because almost all the food was gone already.
I asked mommy & she's said it's quite nice. So I assume it is nice.

Baby nearly went to dial pizzahut because the food was decreasing super fast!
We initially thought no one would eat much so we didn't order too much.
Cos for normal parties, the cakes are number 1 unpopular & buffet is number 2.
Who knows, it ended up to a nearly insufficient food for guests. *Bangs the wall*

Fyi, I didn't eat the food at all. Not even a mouthful.
So I'm not sure if it tasted really nice but comments from the guests are quite good.
Price reasonable & wide variety.

The cupcakes were the most popular food among the kids.
Because it looked nice & tasted decent. So it was disappearing quite well too.
Baby & I were quite surprised that it was going out well.

I didn't even put any hope on the cakes at all.
Because my mindset was good looking stuffs never taste nice.
But I was totally wrong after I tried one. It tasted quite nice for me.
Not like some other cupcakes that is very very dry kind that it's hard to swallow.
There's abit of moisture in the cake, the chocolate isn't too sweet for me either.
And by the end of the day, the cupcakes left about 10 or lesser. Quite good for cakes already :)

My poor little girl is super exhausted that day.
Alot of people are passing her around to carry and play with & she can't sleep.
And everyone's 1st comment was "She looked so much like daddy!".
I am super jealous okay!!! Must have the courtesy to say look abit like mommy ma, lols!
The moment I carried her back to our room & let her lie on my body, she fell asleep.
But she wasn't in the deep sleep state. She kept waking up & see who's carrying her.
So I kept telling her that mommy will be carrying & patting her to sleep.
Asking her to go to sleep, assuring her that I'll be here.
And after a few glances more, she fell asleep without waking to look.

I thought she was totally asleep already. So I decided to put her on bed.
But once I put her down, she woke up again. Carried her & she slept again.
Tried putting her down 2 more times & the same thing happened again.
No matter how gently I put her on bed, she still wakes up wanting to lie on me.
So so heartache! So I decided not to put her down anymore & stay in the room with her.
Fed her & changed her back into her soft clothes and she fell into deeper sleep.

But what to do? Baby shower & parties are always like that right?
She slept throughout the whole day the next day after her full month celebation.
But still, I find it so sweet that on that day she cried no matter who carried her.
But after I carried her & let her lie on me, she kept quiet & looked at me to sleep.
So so sweeeeeet that made me feel so guilty for organizing baby shower for her.
Making her all tired & worned out. Passing her around like a doll :\

But I hope she'll be happy with the party we had for her..

Lastly, We wanna thank everyone for coming.
